Shio at the Dog Run

It was a cold day in NYC today… Ting and I try very hard to make sure Shio gets sufficient exercise, but today even we were very reluctant to go out.

In any case, we did take Shio to the dog run so he could at least run around for a bit. We missed the shiba meet-up unfortunately, but at least Shio got to play a little.

Shio loves to tease bigger dogs by running behind benches, the stone structures, etc.

I love the play-dance that he does.

Video taken with Lumix GF1, Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G.

Wow! Love the video…it’s so….textured. Love the results from the new camera gear! Shio’s so funny…he definitely seems like he prefers being the chasee :P

Thanks! It has been fun experimenting with video! Glad somebody other than me is enjoying it!

awesome. all it needs is a dramatic war soundtrack.

I love the ease at which Shibas can climb up all kinds of rocks and structures… They are so fast and agile…

Shio, you are the cutest little tease ever! You are so good at running in circles around the big dog and at being king of the hill!

Aloha from Chris

Luv watching Shio grow up – such a sweet, beautiful, happy soul.

It’s really incredible how agile they are. I’ve seen some that look like they are literally just bouncing off walls!

Where is this dog run? I have a young shiba that loves to run, and I’d like to see her on rock structures. All of the dog runs that we’ve been to don’t have any. :(

That is the dog run at 23rd and 11th Ave – it is by far one of the best, although it can get crowded given it is not that big.
