We decided to explore Prospect Park today, and boy was it fantastic!
The neighborhood is lovely — so lovely in fact that we even want to move there!
As for Shio — the photos speak for themselves…

Ahhh! That look of joy on his face!
wow it does look nice. I’ll have to keep prospect park in mind. does it lead to an open pond? my shiba doesn’t like the water, but that’s neat for other dogs!
It does lead to an open pond! Shio hates water too, but his friends love it. Shio gives this face that says “I don’t know what you guys are up to in the water but I ain’t having any of that” when they go in…
Hi Melissa – Prospect Park, like Central Park, only allows dogs off lead in certain areas of the park before 9am. We were at Long Meadow and that area does lead to a small fenced in dog beach. Shio doesn’t enjoy the water either so he stood watching from afar as his buddies splashed around in the water!
Have a great time when you do go! It’s really beautiful!
