GooGoo in a sweater!!!!!!! Gasp, too cute!

The sweater and the look on GG’s face…I think you may have a princess in the making there! She’s adorable. And Shio seems to be doing well as a brofur!

Jen – She’s a pint sized super model!

From the runway notes: Goo Goo rocks the latest in tailored coats for fall. With a strong hint of Burberry couture (not the pret a porter line) in the fabric and styling, Ms. Goo Goo wears colors that partly match and definitely compliment her own fur. Carefully constructed for maximum freedom of movement and yet making a warm and distinctive structured style statement,Goo’s jacket look is sure to make her an addition to the best-dressed lists.

What’s so cute about Goo Goo?

Let’s discuss Goo Goo. We’ve been doing that for the last two weeks, so why not talk a little more about this cute little Shiba. Here’s picture from her first week with us. Notice anything besides the fact that she’s incredibly cute? I’ll list them here for you to analyze with me starting with the…

So Goo Goo’s coy smile makes her the Mona Lisa of Shibas.

Ooh, she’s playing! And handling the stairs!
Could she do stairs before?

NY Earthling

That’s quite a play bow in the second pic! And how cute is she, sleeping with her little pink tongue out, next to her foster human! So glad she’s adapting well … this bodes well for the other foster Shibas. Is Shio still enchanted by her?

M.C. – I carried her up and down the stairs for her first week with us because she had stitches from her spay. She grew fearful of coming down the steps and we had to train her to go up and down. She’s a pro now!

Shio adores her!

She looks right at home :)

Hey, that’s a nice canvass print you have there next to your TV ;)

Goo Goo the Pole Dancer

Goo Goo is learning how to walk on a leash. We haven’t trained her to walk properly yet because she’s timid when she’s outdoors. Living near a highway and having many tourists make for many loud noises and chatter that this Jersey girl is not used to so we are more focused on having her…

Shio vs. Change

Since Goo Goo arrived, Shio there have been some changes with Shio’s personality at home. 1. Protectiveness The day before Goo Goo arrived was the day that she was spayed. Immediately upon meeting her, Shio decided that it was his job to protect our foster from shadows and babies by ferociously barking at them. He…

Thank you for another update–I love reading about the saga of Shio and Goo Goo! The adjustments seem be to going great. FWIW–and if my memory is correct–don’t have time to research it, on the Loki and Juju blog, the humans recorded a similar jealousy situation. They consulted a behaviorist who told them to favor the first dog–pet him first, put his food down first, etc. That method would not be correct for all dogs in all situations, and I know you’ll figure it out and keep us posted. Please keep those pics and vids coming! (The jealousy is something to watch though. Two of my mother’s dogs once started a fight over me. They both seemed to be crazy about me–and I gave them lots of love whenever I was there–and on that particular occasion, all I did was arrive and open the car door).

#3 was definitely the case for us, and actually quite a welcome change. Bowdu was a bit of a grazer before, but now that he finishes his meals promptly and in less than uh, 2 minutes (unless raw, of course), dinner time is relatively efficient. Of course, we have to feed the both in separate rooms, otherwise Bowdu will go for Bowpi’s food. Eat ’til it’s gone!

I do love these updates. The transition seems to be going well.

I have to hand feed Shio now because he wolfs down his food in less than 20 seconds.

Life with two dogs is definitely challenging but worth it!

I remember reading that post from Loki and Juju’s blog too! We’ve made sure to make Shio priority during hellos, meal times, leashing up, and just about anything else we can. The two of them are really cute together. Thanks for always reading our blog!
