Happy Holidays everyone! It’s THAT time of the year… the time to gorge ourselves on booze, food and presents galore. It’s also time for the “best of” countdowns! Counting down our favorite moments on this blog from 2010: 10. The size of Shio’s ego vs. reality 9. Bath time! 8. Any video of Shibas frolicking…

This year was our second Thanksgiving that we were able to spend with our little Shio! Last year we road tripped to Cape Cod and Newport. This year, we kept it local. Here he is on Thanskgiving day running himself silly on a Fire Island beach: Also found this sea creature and tried to put…
HAHAHAAHA~ AIRPLANE EARS!!!!
Such wonderful photos- love the airplane ears! Happy to see Shio had such a fun time.
Shio got a work out unlike the rest of america who ate all day on thanksgiving. Way to go! That looks like a husky at Prospect Park? they are about the same size.

On Wednesday afternoon, the only beautiful NY day this week, we went out to Fire Island and let Shio and his fur-cousin, Lucas, run to their hearts content on the beach. Only stipulation was that one leash was tied to both dogs because we weren’t sure if Lucas’ recall would be up to par. My…
My Shibas love the beach too. It’s so great to let them off the leash to run free. I had to laugh at that last picture of the dog passed out. My dogs do the same thing – too cute!
omg. lol thanks auntie

I finally had the opportunity to take some decent pictures of Shio playing in Central Park… Photos taken with Nikon D700, 24-70 f/2.8G.
Wow!! Is this an off-leash dog park? Is it fenced? Looks AMAZING!
Central Park allows dogs to be off-leash up till 9 a.m. — dogs rule the park in the morning and are allowed to run free! They are so different and happy when they can explore and be real dogs.
Beautiful photos! Love the top middle one–action shot! Bottom left–Shio says, “What kind of dog are you?” And what’s up with the ears bottom right? Was he running that fast? Thanks for your great blog! M.
That is not a sight you want to see if you are prey.
Hehe,
Shio The “Oyama-no-Taisho(king of hill)”,
A bratty Japanese boy who likes to be on top of a pile of soil in the playground,
and roar like “I am the king of this mountain, nobody’s allowed to be on this with me. If you dare, I will kick you down.”
Were you playing “Circle of Life”?
I think I was the prey. I stood there, looking up, hoping he wouldn’t take the 8 ft leap off the hill. If he did, I would’ve thrown my iPhone onto the ground and caught him!
Sounds about right!

buahahahaa~ “paw pump”!
what about his time w/ his cousin Lucas???/
If your arteicls are always this helpful, “I’ll be back.”
