This past weekend we took him to Prospect Park, and he had the zoomies…

However, he was very good about listening to us and coming back to the pack when called.

All in all, the three of us were all happy.

This little lens, by the way, is really friggin’ awesome.

In fact, he even played with other dogs!

After spending an hour at the park, we took Shio to the farmer’s market and got him cheese and fresh marrow bone.

He had a good day indeed.

Last year we road tripped to Cape Cod and Newport. This year, we kept it local.

We ended the holiday weekend with trip to Prospect Park so Shio could run and play some more!

Meeting new friends:

Unfortunately, towards the end of the trip Shio started choking on his treat. He managed to cough it up (*phew*!) but not before I caught a picture of his “airplane” ears:

We went to Prospect Park today and took some nice photos of Shio and his new best friend Feta in the fall foliage.

As always, we started our weekend with a trip to Prospect Park. The weather in NY really is perfect right now — in the morning the air is cool and the skies are clear. Shio, who got his undercoat stripped by a groomer for the first time this past week, is especially enjoying the summer now that he is not wearing his winter coat.

I have been really enjoying the photographic opportunities with the warm morning light. Having gone to Iceland recently with the wonderful McLellans, I have rediscovered the fun of photographing everyday things. On top of that, they taught me a lot of new tricks, both in terms of taking the photos and in post-processing. If you are looking for wedding photographers, stop the search and check them out! They are Shio approved!

The reason why I stopped using my GF1 is because I found it difficult to take good photos of Shio given the need for quick autofocus and continuous shutter. I would never have been able to stitch together something like this with the GF1:
