Reboot
/Sorry for the lack of new posts. Two months ago we were very excited to have migrated Shio's site to Squarespace.
While there were many things we liked about it, we ran into 2 key issues:
- Ting could not gain administrator rights to the site, and thus was not able to efficiently work on the blog. We asked tech support to help - there is no way around it
- We could not gain access to our content - unlike WordPress where all our content resides on our server. This would severely limit our flexibility going forward (not to mention the fact that we didn't have full access to our work scared us a bit)
As such, we took the weekend to basically migrate everything back onto our own server, running on WordPress.
While it was a painful process, we managed to add a few more tweaks to the site that we like - especially the sliding Twitter sidebar to the left there.
Hopefully it will be a while before we have to revamp the site again!
