The rain clouds made great backdrop.

Even though we already tried to strip Shio of his winter coat, he still gets very hot. Yet, he refuses to go into the water...
As usual, Shio and friends engage in some chasing...
Finally, Shio took some time to practice his soccer skills -- in time for the World Cup Finals tomorrow...

July 4th Weekend :: Part II
After two straight days at the park, we checked out a new place.
Shio and his pals ran around and had a lot of fun at the beach, and this is a place we will definitely revisit.
Yet another reason to move to Brooklyn...!!

July 4th Weekend :: Part I
Long weekends are great because of 2 things: 1) you can spend more time with your loved ones; 2) there is a short week after the long weekend.
As always, we started our weekend with a trip to Prospect Park. The weather in NY really is perfect right now -- in the morning the air is cool and the skies are clear. Shio, who got his undercoat stripped by a groomer for the first time this past week, is especially enjoying the summer now that he is not wearing his winter coat.
I have been really enjoying the photographic opportunities with the warm morning light. Having gone to Iceland recently with the wonderful McLellans, I have rediscovered the fun of photographing everyday things. On top of that, they taught me a lot of new tricks, both in terms of taking the photos and in post-processing. If you are looking for wedding photographers, stop the search and check them out! They are Shio approved!
The reason why I stopped using my GF1 is because I found it difficult to take good photos of Shio given the need for quick autofocus and continuous shutter. I would never have been able to stitch together something like this with the GF1:
Have a good long weekend everybody!

Shio <3s Prospect Park
I think it is pretty clear that Prospect Park is the best park for dogs during off-leash hours.

We Are The Champions…
Shio had a great week!
First, his Lakers and favorite player Kobe Bryant won another championship. Shio was very happy that his efforts in cheering the team on had paid off.

Then, after a night of celebration, we took him to Central Park. This time, because it was just us, we took the subway.
The weather in NYC today could not have been better; sunny and bright, but not too hot -- just the way Lord Shio likes it.
Shio, of course, explored the park and ran around until he exhausted himself.
That's all folks!

Shio in Iceland?
Ting and I recently took a trip to Iceland for our honeymoon / wedding photos. We had a wonderful time with the McLellan's, and we are looking forward to wonderful, epic photos.
What did Shio do? Well, we obviously could not bring him, but instead brought his surrogate body with us.
Here he is hanging out in Reykjavik:

Shio having asian noodles - wonderful to have some asian food in Iceland!

The real Shio will return soon!
Prospect Park: The Best Dog Park in New York?
We decided to explore Prospect Park today, and boy was it fantastic!
The neighborhood is lovely -- so lovely in fact that we even want to move there!
As for Shio -- the photos speak for themselves...

I finally had the opportunity to take some decent pictures of Shio playing in Central Park...
