Did we mention anywhere on our blog that Shio is shedding? Cause he was. and he still is. Tweet This Post

From this morning: If I could ask Shio just two questions at this moment (assuming that he was able to respond) they would be: 1. Where the eff does all this fur come from?! and 2. How are you not bald?!!? Tweet This Post

my question is… how do you clean up after this? a vacuum cleaner?
Our Dyson DC25 is my bestestest friend during shedding season. And by shedding season I mean all year round.
That’s right! LOL
He’s quite talented in that department!
Yes!!!!
OMGoodness. I thought our two shibas were shedding bad. It’s never ending huh? I swear I could vacuum and swiffer the floors squeaky clean and then a few hours later, it’s already covered. Where the heck does it all come from? I heard from other pet owners too that the Dyson is amazing but it’s soooo expensive! I haven’t gotten around to buying it yet but I hear it’s worth every penny.
It’s been two months now and no signs of the end of shedding season. We furminate him and put his fur in a pile next to him. He turns around and eats the ball of fur. Do we have the only weirdo Shiba or is this normal? Tweet This Post

Romeo is also shedding non-stop! He is going to get a big brushing out this weekend. I do it outside in our backyard but if he can get to any of the hair he will try to eat it too! I think its so gross and try to get it out of his mouth! Shiba’s seriously crack me up!
I don’t know that it is “normal” but Zuko seems distressed when I take his fur away from him. The Shiba “it’s mine don’t take it” mentality seems to kick in or something. I brush him outside so he can’t eat it. I had enough of hairballs with the cats, I don’t want my Shiba coughing them up!!
Oh I am so glad my Shiba is not the only one who eats her hair after I remove it. I try to bag it up quickly so she can not get to it.
Yeah mine likes to eat the hair balls too if I am not fast enough… all shibas are wierd in their own ways

I actually had to sit here and count how many months old he is… which means that its just about time to stop calculating the months! Let’s see… updates from February until now… – Allergies are back! We’ve determined that he has seasonal allergies, just like his human daddy. I have two sneezy and snotty…

I just wanted to say I really enjoy your blog. I actually just found it from another shiba blog today and ironically we are in NYC this week! Seeing your shiba in central park where we were earlier today, makes me smile! And makes me miss our 2 year old shiba back home in Arkansas. Our Romeo and your Shio look so much alike!! I know a lot of shibas look alike but they have the exact same markings and same facial expressions! So cute!! Thanks for sharing Shio’s life in the city!
Check out our Romeo sometime on our blog. The blog isn’t all about him but he makes many appearances!
