Verve Pop-Up in Williamsburg

We have been big fans of Verve coffee for a long time, but only based on beans we have ordered online. Because they are based out west, we have never had the chance to enjoy their coffee in one of their own shops.

Not anymore! We saw this a couple of weeks ago and immediately jumped on the opportunity -- in fact we were there the day before they were officially opened.

We decided to bring the pups back there this week after a short walk in the area. We love the decor there and the coffee is really good.

By the way, they have their Gesha coffee on pre-order right now -- and boy those are ridiculously good. If you are a coffee fan, do not miss out on trying some.

Stumptown :: Brew House

In Shio's continued quest to check out all nearby coffee specialty houses, we went to the new Stumptown location in the West Village.

For those who have not been to this new space, it is absolute gorgeous. More importantly, coffee lovers have to venture to the back of the store, where the secret Brew Bar is located.

At the Brew Bar, you can pick from a long list of available coffee beans, and have it brewed to your liking: Chemex, Aeropress, vacuum -- you name it and they will have it.

We picked up a bag of the Guatemala Bella Vista after having a cup brewed for us via the Chemex.

Yummy.
